Marylebone Day Centre
The Marylebone Day Centre is for homeless women, including refugees and asylum seekers. The centre runs a Rough-Sleepers Drop-In and the Meaningful Activity Programme. Ladies registered with the Day Centre have access to:

Showers (Mon-Fri).

Breakfast (Mon-Fri) (subject to availability).

Housing advice.

The meaningful Activity Programme includes classes and workshops about: volunteering, learning & development, health & wellbeing, creativity and socialising.
Below is a list of volunteering roles needed in the Marylebone Day Centre. Please note that our Day Centre opportunities are open to female volunteers only.
Kitchen Assistant
Do you love to cook and share your creations with others? We're currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support the Marylebone Centre by preparing fresh hot and cold food for female rough sleepers, as well as supervising service user volunteers in the kitchen. If you're confident preparing food and would like to play a part in delivering vital services for women experiencing homelessness, we'd love to hear from you!

The Marylebone Project will organise relevant Food Hygiene and Allergy Awareness Training and devise a menu to guide food preparation. We also reimburse all reasonable out-of-pocket expenses for volunteers. Please note that, due to the nature of the activity, these opportunities are open to female volunteers only.
Availability required:
9am - 2pm on one regular day per week, Monday-Friday.

'Apps for Good' Workshop Facilitator
We're seeking a confident and creative Workshop Facilitator to deliver the 'Apps for Good' online course for ladies at the Project, guiding participants through the process of designing (although not building) their own app. This opportunity is ideal for a volunteer with a creative skillset who can interpret the guidance of a pre-selected course, increasing participants' confidence and creativity as well as critical thinking and planning skills. The Marylebone Project will provide the 'Apps for Good' course materials and all supplies necessary to for facilitating this workshop. We also reimburse all reasonable out-of-pocket expenses for our volunteers. Please note that, due to the nature of the activity, these opportunities are open to female volunteers only.
Availability required:
The course consists of 7-9 workshops to be delivered weekly. Some flexibility during the daytime Monday - Friday according to volunteer availability.

Language Tutor (Italian or Spanish)
We would like to offer beginners level tutoring in either Spanish or Italian language to the ladies at the Marylebone Project. As a Volunteer Language Tutor, you would support our ladies to gain the confidence and basic skills required to speak, read and write in Italian or Spanish.
If you're confident in your use of either language, would be comfortable leading a weekly tutoring session for a small group of service users, and are interested in empowering homeless women to learn new skills, we'd be delighted to hear from you! Although previous tutoring experience is not essential, some experience of skill sharing may be beneficial.
The Marylebone Project will provide any resources required to deliver the tutoring and we reimburse all reasonable out-of-pocket expenses for our volunteers.

Availability required:
A regular two-hour tuition group each week. Many of our activities take place on weekdays, but we may be able to accommodate an evening or weekend tutoring session.
